1994 - 1999


Broke was born in 1994 with the aim of introducing in Italy a new American style born from the street. A spontaneous movement immediately sprung around the brand. It was linked to extreme sport and alternative music, involving athletes, musicians and unknown characters from the world of entertainment by connecting young people having common interests.

2000 - 2010

Broke was born on the street and it lives among the people, it does not address them but it is part of them. That's the reason why it immediately conquered the youngest audience, but also the adults who were looking for unbreakable garments with comfortable lines, made with long-lasting materials, quality and attention to the smallest details. After a few years, Broke also addressed the female world, characterized by a markedly feminine street style. In the meantime it gathered around the brand crews of athletes, skateboarders, snowboarders, riders, and much more people with which Broke organized tours and contests throughout all Europe. Soon the company earned a respectable place in the streetwear market and is has been mentioned in books and publications dedicated to street style, increasingly popular thanks to the contribution of some well-known personalities from the hip hop world, such as Club Dogo, Frankie Hi Energy, J-AX and others who spontaneously began to support the brand with pride sharing the same values.

2011 - 2018

Year after year, Broke contributes to the growth of some of the most important personalities of the streetwear world, such as the skater JM Roura, the collective Unlimited Struggle and several others. For a short period of time the Broke Clothing project stopped, but athletes and artists continued to keep it alive sharing contents and keeping to wear its clothing during their events, interviews and also in their everyday life. 

2019 - 2020

Today Broke is back again maintaining unchanged its characteristics of genuineness, loyalty to its values, attention to the quality and resistance of the garments. At the same time its philosophy evolved into a more conscious and Eco-centric vision. The concept of Ecoism has taken place, it pervades all production and pushes Broke to recognize, preserve and enhance the excellent productions, leaving aside the superfluous and mass clothing-making industry, in order to produce strictly highest quality handmade garments, made up with JAPRAWⓇ - Just A Product Recycled And Wise - materials from the finest Italian fabrics producers, and experimental textiles. All the production is carried out by the Broke crew in its historical headquarters of Treviso, in the mainland of Venice, with the participation of some small local producers.
